Hey there, mom boss!
Looking to grow your blog or online business? I’ve got a great FREE resource I’m going to share with you today. Excited? Let’s dive right in!
Every seasoned blogger and online business owner knows how important continuing education is. Whether it’s social media algorithms, GDPR compliance rules, or new online marketing trends, the digital business world is always changing. While I work to build a thriving freelance writing career and a successful blog, I put a lot of time (or as much time my busy life will allow) into continuing education. This includes joining and participating in relevant Facebook groups, reading how-to articles and blog posts, enrolling in webinars, and my absolute favorite, listening to business and blogging podcasts.
If podcasts aren’t already a part of your continuing education strategy, now is the time to put those earbuds in. One of the easiest and most time-efficient ways to soak up new knowledge is listening to podcasts. Online business podcasts and blogging podcasts offer so much valuable and useful information for FREE, it often seems too good to be true. You know all those pricy blogging and online business courses you see advertised all over Facebook and Instagram? Well, by listening to the right podcasts, you could get the same content and information without the hefty price tag.
The great thing about a lot of these awesome business and blogging podcasts, is that they’ve been around for while. This means, when you’re waiting for new episodes to be released, you can go back and listen to older episodes with equally amazing content. Like to listen while you’re driving? Me too. When convenient, I simply head on over to the podcast website for the show notes to get my hands on all the links and resources mentioned in each episode.
I’m telling you guys, if you’re not listening to podcasts you’re seriously missing out on a incredibly valuable and FREE resource for your blog or online business.
Here are a few of my favorite online business and blogging podcasts that you’re going to love. I promise, you’ll be hooked!
The Goal Digger Podcast – Jenna Kutcher
This podcast is all about taking your business, whatever that may be, to the next level. Jenna describes her podcast as a “live-workshop style business podcast for creative girl bosses”. Episodes feature interviews with business owners and entrepreneurs of various fields, or some one-on-one time with Jenna as she tackles topics across the board, from career to family.
The interviews in this podcast are always interesting for the simple fact that no two business owners are alike. Author, calligrapher, boutique shop owner, the list goes on and on, and they all have some pretty cool insight on what it takes to be a successful business owner.
The Influencer Podcast – Julie Solomon
This blogging podcast is all about influencer marketing, which Julie perfectly describes as “ever changing”. Julie’s podcast features interviews with successful influencers in a way that’s casual and welcoming, yet insightful and informative. These industry elites share all kinds of juicy pro tips, including how they continue to grow their influence.
This is one of my favorite podcasts to listen to, because even if I think I know a lot about the topic being discussed, I always walk away with at least one new piece of information that I can utilize in my own blog or business. Julie also talks a lot about how saturated the blogging and influencer fields are, and through her interviews, shares insightful ways to work around the clutter.
SweetLife Entrepreneur – April Beach
Is your business plan less of a strategy and more of a wishlist? Then you need a business coach. Enter, women’s startup coach, April Beach. The SweetLife Entrepreneur is geared toward women looking to launch their own online business and maintain a healthy work-life balance. April shares tips and tricks form her decade of experience coaching female entrepreneurs to “simplify your businesses and dominate your 20-hour workweek.”
Episodes include concrete advice that you can actually implement to help expand your business (such as Episode 17: Anatomy of a Sales Funnel), and gentle reminders of a work-life balance (such as Episode 28: Discover the Power of a Digital Detox). The best part? April offers FREE SweetLife Entrepreneur startup courses!
She Did It Her Way – Amanda Boleyn
This is the perfect podcast for those looking to take the leap of leaving their 9-5 and beginning their entrepreneurial journey. You’ll learn everything you need to know about the three phases of quitting your job and starting your own business- “Lead Up, Leap, and Land”.
Amanda’s podcast is a collection of interviews with successful female entrepreneurs telling their story of how they did it their way. Amanda and her guests are personable, enthusiastic, and keeping it real. Not only will this podcast keep your attention, but you’ll walk away with tangible advice that you can actually put to use when starting your own business.
